Sharan Hassett

The Principal of Hazelwoods is Sharan Hassett, a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales and Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

Sharan is also a member of Resolution (formerly known as the Solicitors Family Law Association) and specialises in all areas of relationship breakdown (for married and unmarried partners). She also has considerable experience in preparing prenuptial agreements, cohabitation contracts and pre civil partnership agreements. Sharan has frequently acted for high net worth individuals or their partners, as well as a number of well known personalities, who have been impressed by her understanding of their particular needs, as well as her tact and discretion.

Sharan has been involved in the legal profession for 25 years. She is not only a very experienced solicitor but also a highly trained and nationally accredited mediator. She is creative in finding collaborative solutions for clients and supportive of clients at what is one of the most difficult and stressful times in life.

However, should agreement prove impossible and it become necessary for your case to go to Court, then Sharan’s additional expertise as a civil and commercial litigation solicitor gives her a very robust, practical and pro-active approach to matrimonial litigation.

When not at work Sharan enjoys archery, continues with her ongoing marathon training and having once sung on the West End stage now sings contralto in a show choir.

Roy Poyntz

Roy Poyntz is a freelance senior consultant mediator.

Accredited as a mediator by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in 2006, Roy's current mediation experience includes landlord and tenant problems, property and construction disputes, probate disputes and employment matters. Roy is skilled in helping clients make decisions in difficult personal circumstances.

Roy has a 36-year background in financial and commercial management. An experienced originator and negotiator of large scale projects, he is currently Chairman of Global Coal, an FSA regulated exchange.
